In this one act play, two contemporary couples put love to the test. An interracial couple, Chris and Kim found true love. Now married, Kim understands that sometimes life demands more than the innocent juvenile love they found in one other. Mark and Sasha seek what Chris and Kim have, but Sasha requires money and status as a prerequisite for marriage. As Chris and Kim's two-year wedding anniversary approaches, Mark and Sasha have some news of their own, but until Mark resolves the issues of his past; how can he move forward with Sasha? He once had a woman who loved him for who he was, his mom. And without her, all his life decisions are a blur. This story serves as an excellent high school play for students nation-wide. A simple love-relationship play that explores the practical implications of marriage; and how wounds of the past can affect relationships in the present. Life is a long road with many paths; but for Chris, Kim, Sasha, and Mark; they're just 'Ordinary People', they don't know which way to go.

I found myself really being able to envision the characters, especially Mark – which caught me off guard at first because it’s not often that I connect in that way with characters in this genre, or really any genre for that matter. I suppose this comes down to the fact that the author didn’t create the characters with over-glamourized or superficial and exaggerated personalities - they are instead realistic, raw, and dynamic. For that alone I admire the author and even though I would have preferred the story to be a little longer, I still ultimately enjoyed the read.Product details

Loved the story, however the ending was not satisfying because I wanted more! Excited for the sequel.
The 4 characters interactions were highly entertaining as they each attempt to find fulfillment through each other... The game sequence is when everything hits the fan and things start popping off.
incredible play about love, friendship and real life events. Love is truly ambitious and this book gives you insight on four individuals trying to navigate there way through the difficulties of that four letter word we take for granted. Ordinary People is definitely a must read.
