Primal Possession Moon Shifter Series Katie Reus Books

This is definitely a series that you want to read in order. You see, Liam met December in the last book, which was when he found out that she was his mate. They went on a date, he saved her life and there was a relationship build-up in that book. Not to mention that Kat, who's another character introduced in the first book, makes an appearance in this book. Well actually it's more of an appearance, she's in it quite a bit and I think it's because her story is next in the series. So, you really need to start from the beginning because Katie builds up these characters in the previous books so that when it's their turn in the spotlight she can take off running with the story.

Now let's talk about the characters. December is the sheriff's sister. Her brother has a hatred for all shifters since one of them not only nearly killed December but actually succeeded in killing their brother who was trying to save her. So his hatred and her weariness towards shifters goes way back. However, December cannot control her feelings for Liam, no matter how many times she tells him that she doesn't want anything to do with him. It doesn't help that any time that there's trouble, he's always right there rescuing her.

Liam is Connor's (previous book) brother. He's seen his brother get his heart broken and then scour the world looking for her. So he knows how hard it can be when you're mate is resistant. However, he's not going to give December an inch of room to even doubt him. Even if she doesn't want him in her life, he will make sure that he protects her at all costs.

These two characters were definitely interesting to read. Not to mention that we had Kat and her possible mate pop up a lot in this book. Kat was always hanging out with December and Liam and so you would see her quite a bit in the book. We also followed the villain in this book which is actually an entire organization of people who's goal it is is to remove not only shifters but the humans who associate with them as well. So with everything that takes place in this book, you were never bored while reading.

Paranormal Romance + Shifters is simply one of my favorite combinations EVER! The Moon Shifter series hit all the right spots for me. A great pack structure, Hot Alpha males, strong female characters, loads of smexy times and just the right amount of action.

I loved the story line in Alpha Instinct and how it set us up for the rest of the series. Connor and Ana make an amazing Alpha couple =)

Lover's Instinct was a lovely novella. It showed a different kind of relationship, setting itself apart from the usually "Alpha" thing.

Primal Possession was the story of Connor's brother, Liam and his girl, December. Their story has been brewing in the background since Alpha Instinct and it was well worth the wait.

Mating Instinct was such a fantastic addition to the series! Jayce and Kat's story was heartbreaking and an edge-of-your-seat read. I love that this series can be so sexy and so action oriented at the same time.

The Moon Shifter series has become one of my favorite series ever and I cannot wait for more! If you are a Paranormal Romance fan like me, this is definitively a series you should check out!

Story Thoughts The 2nd book in Katie Reus Moon Shifter series is filled with more adventure and drama for the Armstrong-Cordona Pack. This is Liam's Story. Liam has his eyes set on December and he will stop at nothing until he claims her. Their story is mixed into another plot by the APL to attack shifters and humans who associate with them.

I love the world Katie Reus has built for this series. The idea of a world that is aware of paranormal beings is very intriguing and Reus's series is 20 years into this new discovery. I think it is very realistic that some individuals will feel threatened by shifters and vampires.

My only complaint is the story seems slow in the beginning, I realize it takes time to establish Liam and December's relationship, the growing APLs threat and progressing the overall story. However, once everything was set, the story flowed and I could not put down this book. It is a great story.

Character Thoughts Liam's character is strong, definitely all alpha but at times shows a softer side with December and that makes him hot and sexy. December is feisty and stands up to Liam. I like a strong female character, I think they balance the alpha males. If anything, it keeps the boys on their toes.

We also learn more Kat and Jayce. Kat is a friend to December and Jayce is the North American enforcer. They have a story to tell, even though this is Liam/December's time to shine, Kat and Jayce are integral parts of this story. If I thought Liam was a strong alpha male, Jayce kicks that up a few knots.

Final Thoughts I really liked this story. I was instantly drawn to Liam from the first story, the Alpha Instinct, and his story did not disappoint. I can't wait to read the next book. This is definitely a must read for any paranormal fan who loves shifters!
