I didn't think any of Ms. Mayhue's books could top the way I loved her first ones, but then she wrote THIS! I This is now my favorite book of hers. I absolutely love the characters in this book and there is plenty of adventure in the book that I love too. I love that the heroine, Bridget, is one feisty warrior woman and the hero, Hall, is her equal in every way and treats her with awe and respect.

I was so hoping after I read the last one and Bridget and Halldor were in it, that they would get their very own story. I love the way she surrounds her characters with close knit family and friends. I can't say anything better about this book except it's going on my keeper shelf. I know I used the "L" word a lot in this review but I.LOVE.THIS.BOOK!

I liked her other books about fairies and warriors better. This book goes in a different direction but is still good.
Mayhue writes a compelling story. I had read the books leading up to this one and I was not disappointed. Bridget is a strong woman who lacks patience. I can identify with that problem. Sometimes it's good to get the message that love can conquer anything. Looking forward to the story continuing in her next series.
This was an excellent continuation of the Highland series. It is also the 5 th time reading it. I love the way it can make you feel as if you are right there with them.
Absolutely loved this book. Wasn't disappointed in the this new Melissa Mayhue book. Great characters and story. Another favorite author or mine is Janet Chapman. Mayhue writes in the same style. Always a winner!
Melissa Mayhue is one of my favorite authors and it has been a while since I have read a new book by her so I was excited to finally get a new one. Sadly it wasn't as great as her others. I was disappointed.
I live this authors books but this one was not as exciting as the others. I look for more romance and less battle and like the men to be the heroes. I will continue to follow the author but I still like the damsel in distress and saved by the tall dark handsome take care of them all foes kind of man.
I loved this Mayhue book. I love all her books, but this one was by turns amusing and sweet. What does one do with a female warrior who is determined to BE a warrior? I particularly love it when the women are more fierce than the men and the men are all befuddled as to how to handle said fierce woman.
